Laughter Yoga. Bob Banner. bob.banner@gmail.com HopeDance
I would like to lead a laughter yoga session. They are 30-45 minutes in length. Laughter Yoga is a way to experience non duality. As actor comedian John Cleese has written, "How can one be in social hierarchy when one is laughing with people?" I became a Certified Laughter Yoga Teacher basically because I experienced states of non-duality, non judgmentalness and realized that when I personally change, the world changes around me. That is very profound and now 1 wish to share that experience with other seekers and folks who aspire to use any type of spiritual discipline to gain states of being more than human. If Im dissipating my need to judge others (whick keeps the delusion of separation alive and well) then the world changes in the sense that there are no longer as many people to "judge" which is very liberating! In fact I wrote a piece called "Practicing laughter as a spiritual discipline?" {http:// laughteryoga.org/lyblogs/bob-banner/281) among other pieces that highlight this phenomenon.
Using laughter, breathing and clapping as an exercise we begin the process of simulated laughter which turns into genuine laughter. I guide the group so that the energy stays focus on our laughing and not to engage in chatter since chatter often times triggers the left brain and these sessions are primarily a right brain exercise (see the chapter in D. Pinks book "The Whole New Mind".
Hie Song of the Tree: KiVoŽ BodyChants™, LisAddison. lis@allaglowmusic.com
KiVo blends sound healing, chant and mantra with tribal dance and yogic movement. It gives us an inner workout as we access the subtle vibrations created by the voice and an outer workout as we practice die dance. KiVo is rooted in the Shamanic tradition and engenders the awareness of all living beings as our relations. It is designed to clear the physical and energy bodies in order to more fully receive and radiate the Spiritual Light. Merging with the Radiant Light of Bliss, Love & Joy-our true state-allows us to identify with that which is unchanging and ever present and releases us from the temporary, ego based, changeable and impermanent conditional realm. There is only Light. You will learn:5Rhythms - Feet First with Claire Alexander. Claire Alexander. ciaire@ecstaticproductions.com
- Vocal Chakra Healing Tones (VoCHeT) (rhythmical mantras as heard on Ms. Addisons CD 'The Song of the Tree1') to assist in cleansing, spinning and activating the Chakras
- Specific choreography designed to isolate & activate muscle groups, joints and energy centers
- Ways to use the voice as part of your dance, yoga, healing and spiritual practice
- Principles of directing sound vibration through the body
The 5Rhythms are a moving meditation practice that offers an integrated experience of body, heart, mind, soul and spirit. This journey to integration begins when we inhabit our physical body. We practice inhabiting our body uHrough the gateways of our feet, hips, head, hands and breath. This mornings meditation is an invitation to bring your attention to your feet, the beat, and your breath to experience the potency of living fully animated inside your own skin.
Claire Alexander is a certified teacher of the Waves and Heartbeat level maps of the 5Rhythms* practice. Her grounded, clear, and passionate way of teaching invites everyone in the room to commit to their own dance, to go deeper, to laugh, to heal, and to embrace being human. Hear and Heal. Silvia Nakkach MA.,MMT
Experience firsthand Sounds tremendous Power to Transforms and Heal - Clinics, Demonstrations and Musical Offerings - Facilitated by the Vox Mundi and CIIS Sound Healing Community of Practitioners.
"There is something in music that transcends and unites. It symbolizes the yearning for harmony, with oneself and others, with nature and the spiritual and the sacred within us and around us." - His Holiness the XIV Dali Lama
Today, the field of sound and music healing is rapidly gaining recognition as an essential component of health care in our society. These sessions lead by advanced sound healing practitioners and musicians offer you both the scientific framework and practical demonstrations of how sound and music heals by bringing our nervous system into balance. You experience the integration of forms of bodywork and tuning forks to better adapt to the stresses of life and open the flow of energy. You learn why sound healing is becoming part of a larger context of integrative health applications including: achieving states of relaxation, improving mental clarity and brain functioning, relieving stress by drawing our body into a centered space, enhancing massage, acupressure, creativity, and meditation, and ways to apply sound to the body to manage pain and increase joint mobility. Each practitioner brings his or her own particular modalities which combine yoga, voice, sound and music with shamanic healing, art and live music making through medicine melodies that mirror your natural sense of being, and devotional chanting to clear and open your heart.
